Thoughts of Becoming a Wife REDO

One of my favorite people who posts on Facebook (plus I have heard him speak a time or two) is Hank Smith. He speaks about different things. Great thoughts to help us do better in life.

I found a post on having a goal to make your spouse #1. He posted this in January as a suggested resolution, but I believe resolutions can be made any time of the year. I know I certainly need to!

This new year, maybe a great resolution could be a renewed commitment to give more time and energy to your marriage. I realize that not all marriages can or should last, but many marriages could be saved by asking questions like these in a spirit of humility and kindness. Don’t think to yourself, “I sure wish my spouse could read this.” You be the first to take the initiative. Have the courage to try and try again. Enduring kindness, forgiveness (and re-forgiveness), and service are essential ingredients to any happy marriage.

Great place for reminders

I have chosen to put a note on my phone to remind me often.

A few other great places for reminders are in the car, perhaps on the steering wheel, or inside a cabinet door in the kitchen or bathroom.

So true

I find so many great quotes on Facebook.

This one slapped me in the face. I need to take a better look at myself and make some changes.

I believe this adds to my issues. I certainly use this to help me justify my being rude.

Both are choices!

I need to get back on the trail of becoming a GOOD wife. Walking on rocks of anger, resentment, non-cooperativeness, rudeness, degradation, etc. is not getting me to the destination that I really want.

I will need to work hard to overcome some terrible habits and ways of thinking…

…but, if I reach out to the Savior to guide me and help me heal the pain that I have caused…

…then I can get back to where I really want to be.
