The thoughts I would like to share come from the report my nephew Jackson gave as he just returned from his mission to Oklahoma.
The opening hymn was # 41 Let Zion in Her Beauty Rise
Let Zion in her beauty rise; Her light begins to shine.
Ere long her King will rend the skies, Majestic and divine,
The gospel spreading thru the land, A people to prepare
To meet the Lord and Enoch’s band Triumphant in the air.
Ye heralds, sound the golden trump To earth’s remotest bound.
Go spread the news from pole to pole In all the nations round:
That Jesus in the clouds above, With hosts of angels too,
Will soon appear, his Saints to save, His enemies subdue.
That glorious rest will then commence Which prophets did foretell,
When Saints will reign with Christ on earth, And in his presence dwell
A thousand years, oh, glorious day! Dear Lord, prepare my heart
To stand with thee on Zion’s mount And nevermore to part.
He spoke of conversion-beginning with Mark 5:19 Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
Luke 22:32 when thou are converted, convert thy brother.
Everything we have is of the Lord, except our will, that is ours alone. We need to give God our will.
Instead of teaching the youth, do what’s right, teach them “Choose’ to do what’s right.
When Ammon was teaching King Lamoni, the king started by giving up worldly things to know God, but that’s not what God needed. Then he chose to give all of his sins to know God.
Discipleship is not about doing things perfectly, it’s about doing things intentionally.
Living the gospel is not a ‘Lifeline’ on which someone or something depends or which provides a means of escape from a difficult situation. It is rather a ‘Lifestyle’ in which we need to live, continuing conversion in our lives, so that when things come along we look to God instead of away.
Later today my husband and I were listening to one of our favorite YouTubers from a video which he posted a month ago, but it was not only beneficial to both of us individually as members of the church, but also to both of us as parents.

I wish though that I could share my nephews talk completely. He is such a great young man. He reminds me of his dad (my brother).
Is there anyone who would like to share their conversion story with us? Please feel free to share in the comments.
