(from Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol)
This time of year is to bring ‘Joy and Peace’ to the world.
What happens when your world comes crashing down. 2020 has been one crazy year: quarantine, earthquakes, a raccoon in the town water tank, huge wind storms bringing trampolines in your back yard but first breaking down a fence section on it’s way, and then, a windstorm that tore down century old trees, in Salt Lake City and other areas, oh so many trees.
Then some more personal problems: husband needing to retire early due to health reasons, my breaking my fibia causing me to be out of work at my higher paying job for 2 months, then having deep family issues to work through.
We look to this time of year, to celebrate the birth of Jesus, who came to earth to save us. That is what I will strive to do. I will look to Him to help me through my times of trial and look to Him for redemption for me and my family.
So you see, we need to especially look to this time of year for a great uplifting outlook. For He shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9)
So indeed; “God Bless Us Everyone”
