Six months. I needed to take a huge amount of time off. Between getting a garden ready, a fence up, planning the watering system, turning our side yard into a bee yard, getting the bees and hive, getting the second raised bed in, planning the barn (shed) and changing the plans for the foundation.
Because it took so long to get the fence up and then the side garden in, a good deal of the plants that I bought died, as they were getting root bound. Plus most of my seedlings that I planted, died, or grew mold because I left them in the make shift greenhouse box too long.
With all of that stress, it led to a lot of depression.
Let’s talk about work. My main job needed better focus. It was taking a lot of work as we were making a lot of great changes, plus I switched locations, which took a bit of work in order to get acclimated. I didn’t do much with my job at the theater. Working mostly one day a week. When I go into my theater job, I would often hear, “it’s been a long time,” and it felt like it too.
A lot of work has been done, and we still need to start on the barn, work is getting more familiar, so I feel like it is time to share my trail again. It’s going to start slow, but I will eventually share more.
Then once the barn is done we can get the quail area set up and get quail hatched, raised, and laying and hatching eggs so we can have egg and meat production. After the barn is done we can get the chicken coop/greenhouse built and ready for spring.
Moving forward with direction.
